Please note - we will no longer be letting Kittiwake Cottage commercially from April 5th. 2018.

Kittiwake is a traditional, stone, terraced Cornish cottage built in about 1870 with a modern conservatory. It has a lovely long garden - a work in progress! - with Dracaena palms, gunnera and other 'Cornish' plants. There is a greenhouse and raised vegetable beds and - if you come at the right time of year - you're welcome to pick and eat, especially if you do some watering! We have a free 24/7 phone line for local and national landline calls and superfast broadband.

The cottage has a large, lockable shed for bikes, boards and wetsuits with garden/beach toys and a table tennis table. Parking is easy, with a dedicated space at the end of the back garden and public parking on Greenfield Terrace itself.

A few minutes' level walk brings you to the beautiful, sandy beach, ideal for surfing, swimming and beach-combing. Rock pools uncovered at low tide present lots of opportunities for children to explore and even to swim. At the end of Greenfield Terrace is a small park and just across the road from this a children's playground.

All your every-day needs can be met in Portreath, with its pubs, cafés. restaurants, mini-supermarket, post office, surf shop and bakery.

Have a look at ourMining page! We all tend to focus on Cornwall's lovely beaches, but the rich history of our mining heritage is also there to explore.
